BS Social Care is a national organisation, specialising in the recruitment of professionals within the Health and Social Care sector. We are currently working alongside a specialist provider of residential childcare and education services in their recruitment of an experienced Deputy Children`s Manager.

You will join a highly reputable Health and Social Care provider that aims to provide the highest levels of care and service, to enable young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties achieve their goals.


Within the role of Deputy Manager you will effectively assist in overseeing aspects of the operational day to day management of the service. You will strive to deliver outstanding care and support for the young people in your care and their families. You will provide effective direction, guidance, support and leadership to your staff team and will deliver a service which is in line with both company and OFSTED guidelines.

You will further be responsible for delivering childcare that is focused on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the home. You will be expected to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person. This involves being personally available, as well as the supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, and facilitation of care focused training, and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home.

The successful candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Children and Young People`s Workforce or equivalent
- NVQ Level 4 Leadership & Management or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience of working with children & young adults
- Driver with own transport is preferred
