Job Description

Deputy residential care manager with a proven background in elderly, dementia care and support, required to manage a large state of the art care home for older adults and people living with dementia in the Dudley Borough.

This service has great access either by public transport or your own vehicle, from Birmingham, Dudley and Wolverhampton and will provide high quality care to its residents.

You will join a well-respected, care provider of choice who has a significant background within residential care and support for older adults and adults with learning disabilities. You will join an organisation that invests heavily in staff and service development and has secured recognition nationally for their work and support.

Working closely with a skilled registered manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the service. Care and support planning, report writing and liaising with external agencies will be a pivotal part of your deputy manager role. You will also be committed to delivering high quality personal care and support, promoting independence and maintaining a warm, homely environment.

As part of your deputy manager role, you will be required to manage a team effectively, mentor and deliver training where required. As with all deputy manager roles, you will need to deputise for the registered manager in their absence and have flexibility to share the "on call" rota.

The ideal candidate will be a committed, motivated and compassionate individual who can demonstrate a significant background within a supervisory role within elderly residential care settings. You will be committed to leading by example and the delivery of high quality care and support. Extensive knowledge and experience of dementia care and support are essential for this role.

To apply for this vacancy, you will hold a minimum of QCF level 3 in health and social care and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will already be employed in a similar role and be confident in working within a large purpose built residential setting. This vacancy would suit a skilled deputy who is looking to move into a larger service or a registered/care manager who wants to step down but remain in management for a reputable, recognised provider.

This exciting role is offering a highly competitive salary circa £37000 per annum. In addition, you will also benefit from other generous benefits such as a generous annual leave allowance, defined pension contributions and other exciting benefits.

This vacancy will not be around for long so I am looking to arrange interviews for interested candidates without further delay.

Interested? Please forward your CV via email or apply through the BS Social Care website. Alternatively, to discuss this vacancy before applying, you can contact me on 0121 633 3123 in confidence between the hours of 9am and 530pm Monday to Friday.
