Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Manager (Elderly/residential)
Location: Stourbridge
Salary: £25000 plus bonus
Hours: Full time

The client:
On behalf of a reputable, established and person-centred provider of care for older adults and adults with dementia, I am seeking a passionate, driven and empathetic deputy manager for their medium sized home in Stourbridge.


My client prides themselves on the promotion of good quality, person centred care and support, within a stunningly presented and homely rural setting.

The Job:
Employed on a full-time basis, you will work closely with the established registered manager and deliver care which is in line with both CQC and company policies and procedures.


You and the team, will support the people who live here to live fulfilling, dignified and independent lifestyles. In the absence of the manager, you will be responsible for managing the home and ensuring full quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities and duties will include:
" A combination of supernumerary support and hands on care delivery including personal care and medication
" Shift leading
" Deputising for the manager in their absence
" Playing a key role in internal and external audits
" Liaising with external agencies and visitors to the home
" Maintaining quality and compliance throughout the service
" Rotas and staff management, including recruitment and training

Skills & Experience requirements:


To be successful in the Deputy Manager role, you must:

" Be qualified to NVQ level 3 in health and social care, and where possible, be willing to work towards or be working towards the level 5
" Demonstrate proven experience in the health and social care field at senior, team leader and deputy manager level
" Have flexibility to work a varied role including supernumerary support and hands on care (this may also include occasional weekend working and spot checks on an evening)
" Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle
