Job Description

I am actively seeking a forward thinking, motivated and person centred DEPUTY MANAGER to join a small yet homely residential service for adults with learning disabilities and behaviours which may prove challenging.

You will join an organisation that has a handful of small, well established services that have a great reputation for providing person centred care and support and making a difference to the people who live here.

Employed on a full time basis, you will work with a well established manager and effectively manage the service in their absence. You will be PROACTIVE, SUPPORTIVE and FORWARD THINKING. A real "can do" attitude is essential to be successful in the deputy manager role.

You will split your time between working on the floor, delivering person centred care and also overseeing delegated managerial duties.

You will effectively lead a large team of staff, including team leaders and will ensure that all care delivered is in line with CQC and company guidelines. Your priority will be to ensure that the people you support lead a full, independent and healthy lifestyle that promotes choice, dignity and respect.

This is the perfect opportunity for a solution focused team leader or senior support worker who is seeking the next step on the career ladder. You will be able to demonstrate excellent team management and delegation skills, and be committed to delivering care that has positive outcomes and challenging poor practice.

To be considered for this exciting deputy manager role, you must be qualified to QCF level 3 in health and social care as a minimum and have significant experience supporting clients with a learning disabilities diagnosis. You will have proven shift/team leading experience. You will be competent in managing the service in the manager`s absence and handling all situations.

In return for your excellent deputy manager skills and learning disabilities knowledge, you will receive a highly competitive salary in the region of £24000 per annum, as well as continued training and development, internal progression opportunities and other exciting benefits. You will also receive an "on call" allowance.

Interested? I have interview slots available this week. So, rather than miss out, please forward your CV via email today or apply online via the BS Social Care website.
