Job Description

Do you have despatch experience - whether that be in shipping or transport? Are you familiar with packaging and despatch operations?

If so, this could be the perfect role for you. Working at the client`s main European headquarters in the Runcorn area, you can look forward to joining a global design and manufacturing company.

Benefits for this role include:


Basic salary of £19,000-£21,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Free on site car parking facilities (Based on location, preference would be for the right candidate to drive unless lives locally).

Day to day responsibilities:

Working alongside and assisting supervisors and higher management to ensure that despatch and packing operations and any other related duties are performed to the correct standards.

Raising all shipping documents - packing slips documents, invoice documents and export documents.

Complete correct declarations and regularly update correct lists on a monthly basis to correct contacts (HM Revenue and Customs etc.).

Raising shipping notifications and invoices on customer websites.

Arranging transport for all shipments - this will involve negotiating prices, using their own forwarders and using their own customer`s forwarders.

Raising purchase orders for transport which would then be arranged at the correct cost.

Matching certifications of shipments and other required documentation to shipments.

Working closely with all relevant departments - ranging from production to sales.

In order to apply for this role, you MUST have the following skills and experience:

Some form of experience or an exposure to shipping, transport or despatch duties.

Able to confidently work on PC systems such as: Microsoft Excel, Spreadsheets, Word Processing and Business Systems.
