Job Description

Exciting opportunity for someone who would like to work with animals for an industry renowned hatchery in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Reporting to the Despatch Manager we are looking for the right people to fill these roles working Monday - Friday 6.00am - 2.00pm with flexibility in our Despatch team to include the following tasks:
" Ensure the correct amount of chicks are provided for each order
" Check and grade chicks to the quality standard required
" Build boxes for chick transport and complete labels to distinguish orders/ requirements of each order
" Ensure day old chicks are vaccinated where required using appropriate equipment
" Ensure that standards of chick welfare is met at all times, particularly in the handling of the chicks during the various treatments
" Follow appropriate cleaning and hygiene standards, according to agreed company protocols
All roles will include a certain amount of manual handling.

The successful candidates must have good communication skills, ability to work using their own initiative and also to work as part of a team.

Aviagen's poultry breeding operations have very strict Biosecurity and Animal Welfare standards. This includes the restriction of all employees from keeping pet birds, poultry, pigs or other intensive livestock.
