Job Description

Are you a graduate in Mechanical Engineering? Are you seeking an exciting and unique development position? If so, we have the role for you!

A local scientific and research company are seeking a Development Engineer to join their team. You will be designing and developing systems and equipment as required applying best practise in health and safety at all times. As the development engineer, you will also rapidly develop and procure prototype jigging, processes and products and conduct Mechanical design. There is also an element of feasibility studies on mechanical loading, fatigue, thermal and fluid flow solutions. The development engineer will work within quality and OHSAS management systems in developing risk assessments, safe operating procedures, generating technical documents including development reports, assembly and commissioning procedures and maintenance documentation.

The successful mechanical engineer will hold a minimum Bachelor`s Degree in mechanical engineering or similar. You will need to be able to demonstrate fundamental understanding of complex engineering and have experience using computational modelling including CFD, FEA (electromagnetic modelling CAD/CAE and ABAQUS is an advantage). You will have a good understanding of typical engineering materials, stress and failure mechanisms, experimental stress measurement and analysis and demonstrate problem solving, process development and improvement skills in a wide scope of engineering challenges.

The company are offering a salary of £45,000 - £47,000 per year, plus amazing company benefits including fee parking, health and well-being classes and a good pension scheme.
