Job Description

We are looking for a Diary Manager & Administrator to join our client the Ministry of Justice on a long term temporary basis

Ideally the successful candidate will have a strong admin background, who is well organised and has some diary management experience

  • Location: Working from Home but may be required to attend the office in Leeds city centre
  • Contract length: 12 Months (end of November 2022)
  • Pay: £10.21 raising to £10.97 after 12 weeks
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5 (37 hours)


The key purpose of the role is to provide Diary management support to the Head of Standards, Capability and Expertise and providing admin support the Project Delivery Academy Team


Key responsibilities you will conduct in this role:

  • Diary management of the SCS1 Head of Standards, Capability and Expertise
  • Carrying out administrative activities to support the delivery of each module within the programme, including booking meeting rooms and venues, travel and accommodation where needed, sending out papers and pre-reading, and conducting feedback surveys
  • Supporting the handling of applications and managing communications with successful and unsuccessful candidates
  • Supporting on coordination of financial aspects of the Academy including raising and chasing Purchase Orders
  • Managing the administrative processes to enable delegates to join the Academy
  • Supporting the team to produce accurate records and reports in support of performance management of the programme and its delegates
  • Providing adhoc support to the wider Centre of Expertise team including managing the shared inbox and dealing with enquiries and requests relating to the services we provide
  • Helping to manage the PD Academy inbox and resolve queries with support where needed
  • Coordinating the administrative elements of the Academy assignment process, this includes maintaining the academy shared drive and Microsoft Teams channel
  • Managing various aspects of panning and risk management processes including updating plans and risk registers
  • Any other ad hoc tasks as required that are suitable to the role


Desirable experience/skills:

  • Diary management/ personal Assistant to a director
  • Minute taking
  • Well organised
  • Strong administration background
  • Able to work at a fast pace
