Job Description

My client is currently looking for an experienced administrator and diary manager to join their team based in Stockport.

This is a temporary role currently until the end of October with the potential of being extended. It is also a full time role at 37 hours per week.

The pay rate for this role £10.02 which goes up to £11.53 after 12 weeks (£9.50 to £11.53 for under 25s).

You will be providing secretarial and administrative support by acting as a primary point of contact for the Deputy Director. You will also assist in the management of the day to day running of the division through the key tasks of diary coordination, compilation of correspondence and documents and the organisation of meetings and other engagements.

You will be required to:

-Keep efficient maintenance of the diary ensuring that time management is optimised
-Highlight priority work and respond to queries using an understanding of the clients service delivery
-Provide a full range of secretarial and administrative support and assistance
-Produce a range of material from correspondence to complex confidential reports
-Organise meeting and take minutes during meetings
-Contribute towards the organisation and coordination of large scale events
-Deal with highly sensitive issues, acting with diplomacy and maintaining strict confidentiality at all times

For this role you should have experience in managing the diary of a senior executive and in providing a wide range of management support activities. You should be an excellent communicator and be able to participate in meetings where appropriate. You will also need to be a confident user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.


As this is a government role, you will be required to undergo a DBS check and provide 3 years worth of references.
