Our client based in the Newport area are looking for a DLO Manager reporting to the Maintenance Services Manager to lead on the effective internal delivery of DLO trade body to ensure that resource is available for the day-to-day maintenance and refurbishment the the housing stock and be to accountable in ensuring that all properties conform to current legislation, health and safety, CDM Regulations and contract procurement rules.
You will lead the up-skilling of a multi discipline workforce at the required and agreed objective and financial outputs.
To be accountable and responsible for the line management of all Maintenance Team Leaders, ensuring performance and productivity measures are at requisite standard.
Demonstrate accounting for the trade outputs measured through the internal job costing system. Work with the Cost Accountant to ensure that financial outputs are met and delivered to the 5 year cost model.
Ensure that the company fleet is managed responsibly and in accordance with Policy and assist in the development and implementation of best practice systems, procedures and processes to deliver excellent service.
You will need to have sound knowledge of building and property services relating to residential premises and knowledge of the social housing sector.
Understanding of the regulations relating to asbestos management, statutory legislation and regulations relating to construction and maintenance repairs.
You also need a proven track record of working with a labour workforce in maintenance within housing maintenance environment or Contracting arm.
A full driving licence is needed.
