Domestic Electrician

Salary £27,000 to £33,000

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing local Electrical and Gas business

What you will be responsible for:

Focused on our general domestic repairs, you will work on both void and tenanted properties carrying out general electrical repairs, testing and inspection works and installations.

Your main duties will include fixed wire testing of properties, 1st and 2nd fix installation work, consumer unit changes, electrical rewires, wiring upgrades, minor works repairs as required, emergency lighting and fault finding

You will be responsible for ensuring all works are carried out on time and within the company policies and procedures with regards to Health & Safety and maintenance.

You will also be placed on the Out of hour`s on-call rota, however with this you will receive a fixed payment and an additional enhanced hourly pay for the duration of the call-out

What our client is looking for in you:

" AM2 and JIB card is essential.

" Maintenance Electrician: 3 years (Preferred)

" NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification) in Electrical Installation

" City and Guilds 2382 17th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671

" Experience of testing & carrying out periodic inspections

" Experience and/or knowledge of working in domestic properties

" An understanding of the importance of health and safety in the work place

" Approachable and engaging with customers

" A full and current UK driving licence

In addition to the above you will ideally possess City and Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 Testing and Inspection Certificate, but this is not essential.

You will however be well versed in the inspection, testing, verification, certification and reporting procedures required in our properties.
