We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Domestic Violence manager to work in a Liverpool based refuge as the Refuge Manager
You will be working for a non-profit organisation providing managerial support to all aspects of the refuge. This is a 24 hour dry refuge which provides a safe place for women and their children who have been victims of domestic violence.
In this role you will be responsible for the day to day running of this service. You will be doing rotas, budgeting, managing staff, training staff, assisting with benefit claims, using computer systems, conducting talks and presentations to local authorities, the public and other organisations and much more.
You will have a strong background in working with people who have been victims of domestic violence and abuse. You will have worked for a non-profit organisation and have a good knowledge of how the benefits system works. You will have managerial experience in a similar setting and it would be advantageous if you have worked with people with complex needs before.
In this role you will be working 9:00-17:00 Monday - Friday with some flexibility around this to suit the needs of the refuge. You will also have an on-call phone which you will need to be accessible on at certain times.
The salary for this role is £31000 per year and you will receive an employer pension contribution of 6%, you will also be able to claim a business mileage allowance of 45p per mile and will get 25 days annual holiday plus statutory bank holidays and 24/7 access to an Employee Assistance Programme
