Driver Technician - Harwell Campus, Oxfordshire

We are currently working with an exciting business offering a temp to perm opportunity for a Driver Technician. This is a role based out on the road - dealing with flood / fire / mould affected materials and products from a variety of places such as domestic properties / commercial premises / libraries / archives and museums.

General working hours are based on a 8:30am to 5pm working day, staff must be aware of emergency call outs and overtime work when required due to the nature of the work and importance of these collections of damaged materials.

Candidates must ensure that the business services are delivered to the customer in a friendly and efficient way, establishing strong relationships ensuring the highest standards of customer service are consistently delivered within agreed service level agreements including time frames.

Responsibilities:
-Attending all new jobs as allocated by the Customer Support Team, to include all domestic and commercial perils.
-Diligent collections and deliveries to customers.
-Emergency response and disaster recovery operations.
-On call availability on rotation with fellow technicians.
-Ability to work overtime / some unsociable hours including overnight stays, as per business needs.
-On site cleaning and restoration projects at customer sites.
-Ensuring Company, H&S, Quality and Environmental procedures are adhered to.
-Liaise with customers/loss adjusters/insurance companies/policy holders etc as necessary.
-Reviewing and suggesting new methods and techniques of working with your line Manager sharing knowledge and experience.
-Ensure van is equipped, clean and serviced according to manufacturer's guidelines.
-Ensure 'live time' inputting of information on system in line with quality procedures.
Candidates will need a good level of IT including using Microsoft packages and being trained on the internal systems.
