Driver's Mate / Delivery Assistant - Immediate start.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Driver's Mate to join our client's busy delivery team based in Abingdon, Oxford.
This is a hands-on role supporting drivers with the safe and efficient delivery of goods to customers across the region.
The successful candidate will assist with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring deliveries are completed on time and providing excellent customer service at delivery locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the driver with daily delivery schedules and routes.
- Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently.
- Carrying products into customer premises when required.
- Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
- Checking delivery paperwork and obtaining customer signatures.
- Helping to secure loads and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
- Supporting warehouse operations when required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, delivery, or manual handling role would be advantageous.
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours and duties.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours.
Pay Rate: £13.00p/h (Weekly Paid)
