An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Drop in Support Worker to support Young Adults ages 16-25 years old that are suffering from homelessness. This role is based in Leyland and Chorley at drop in centres.

You will be joining an established local charity that provides specialist services supporting vulnerable Children and Young People and Adults.

As a Drop in Support Worker you will provide 1:1 support to Young people who are either experiencing homelessness or threatened with homelessness, and those who want to explore their options of living independently. You will support them with benefits and debt related issues. You will be responsible for managing referrals to local authority and completing risk assessments. You will provide advice to the Young People and mediate between families.

Your positive attitude and ability to engage and encourage Young People will be essential as will your ability to work flexibly. You will also be able to build positive and professional rapport with the Young People.

The successful candidate will have experience supporting vulnerable people with housing related support or experience supporting Youth. Full UK Driving License is essential with access to your own car.

This is a part time position working 20 hours per week with a salary of £18,665-£20,017 (pro rata) plus excellent development opportunities and benefits.
