Job Description

Are you an established E-Commerce manager looking for your next position? I have an exciting opportunity with my client in Bradford:

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be managing a team of E-commerce Executives and Assistants. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the sites which include the UK and Ireland with further international expansion planned.

You will manage the execution of the promotional plan across all websites ensuring all promotional activity goes live correctly and according to plan. This involves managing the online shopping experience across key global markets delivering against customer expectations and meeting business performance KPIs.

A key part of your role will be supporting the launch of new websites, working closely with teams across the wider business such as IT, Marketing and Merchandising. You will then work with your team to manage the ongoing performance and trading of these websites.

A key part of trading the websites is understanding performance. You will use web analytics tools and work with the Digital Analytics and Insight Teams to monitor performance of all the key elements of the website to understand the success of the promotional activity, making recommendations for change daily.

This role requires a strong commercial flair and strong communication and organisation skills.

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

You will have a strong understanding of the trading performance of each website (banner clicks, traffic behaviour, conversion triggers etc) and feed this into the key directional and trade meetings to use as a basis to make decisions around the promotional plan.
You will be responsible for the execution of the promotional plan across desktop, tablet, mobile and app devices making decisions as to how best to execute promotions on the website to gain maximum visitor attention and drive sales and conversion.
You will manage your team to deliver the promotional plan across the group of websites ensuring all promotional activity goes live correctly and according to plan including performing out of hours, weekend checks and managing the weekend rota.
Using web analytics tools and working with the Digital Analytics and Insight Team, you will monitor performance of all the key elements of the website to understand the success of the promotional programme. Making recommendations for change and feeding this back to other managers, Heads of Department and Directors as appropriate.
You will conduct regular competitor activity reviews across both retail stores and online to understand the market place and environment.
You will review on-site search behaviour to gain an understanding of keyword queries and manipulate the products within the search pages to drive conversion.
You will propose AB tests to help improve performance of the site.
You will be responsible for ensuring that user experience is optimum at all times on a day to day basis and consult with the User Experience team on this as regularly.
You will mentor your team and organise appropriate training on these analytics tools and ensure your team follow a customer and data-centric approach when changing the websites.

In return my client is offering a competitive salary, along with profit shares in the company if performance targets are met along with the opportunity to progress to Director level.
