Job Description

With new publications and a bit of growth we're looking for a new Editor and Deputy Editor for a couple of our Industry leading magazines.
With over 25 years experience in the sector we publish leading magazines over the energy sector including Fuels and Bio Energy along with surrounding industries. We're established in our field with a great team, it's a focused office space with everybody playing their part in the successes of the business.
As Editor you will have some amazing opportunities to travel. With around 4-5 trade events a year there will be great opportunities across Europe and the United States.
You will be overseeing a couple of publications both in print and online with printed reader base of around 3000 for the various bi-monthly publications we run.
It will be your role to oversee two other members of editorial staff as well as commissioning content freelancers and experts while working towards developing our brands across various media.
It can be a challenging role and although we don't expect you to join us a fully-fledged expert in our industry we do want you to get involved at the trade shows and become a trusted voice with occasional writing feature articles and growing into a full ambassador for our range of tittles.
We have a defined house style and brand that you will be stepping into. Leading a great team of Deputy and Junior editors alongside our sales and design teams. We want you to make the role your own, a real self-starter who can hit the ground running.

Our ideal candidate would be an existing Editor looking for a new challenge or a Deputy Editor looking for a step up. Somebody from the B2B side of journalism would be great as we want you to bring a certain sense of commercial awareness.


Our solid requirements are……

" Proven experience producing and commissioning print and online content.
" Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance a number deadlines
" Amazing attention to detail and sub-editing skills
" Exposure to interviewing top-level industry figures and ability to write top quality features
