Job Title - Learning & Development Co-Ordinator
Location - Oxford

Brook Street is currently looking to recruit a Learning & Development Co-Ordinator

This is a temp role based in Oxford for 6 months.

£10.29 per hour raising to £11.20 following 12 weeks worked

Job Description / Responsibilities:

Working within the Professional Development Unit, under the direction of the Education Programme Manager and Support & Development Officer, the postholder is responsible for a range of activity that will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive professional support service and a suite of learning events.

The postholder is responsible for administrative and coordinating tasks associated with planning and implementing learning events held on site and at external venues, including clinical exam preparation courses, leadership and personal development courses and supervisor recognition courses. Tasks vary depending on an event but can include involvement in planning the event dates, securing venues and trainers/facilitators, advertising, meeting and greeting and closing events, agreeing expenditure, processing payments and issuing follow-up documentation. The postholder will also be required to assist and liaise with trainees who may require additional professional support and with the case managers. Much of the work is conducted using an online course booking management system. All activity is undertaken within the context of pursuit of the highest quality of training, whilst also maximising value for money.

The postholder has support from managers, peers, and other stakeholders but is required to be well-organised and able to work with considerable independence in terms of managing and prioritising their day-to-day activities, analysing and maintaining progress, and reviewing and incorporating feedback and sharing best practice.


Candidate Requirements

Essential:

o Proven experience of working in a team environment and delivering team objectives
o Evidence of working effectively under pressure, resolving issues, meeting deadlines and prioritising workload in a challenging and demanding environment, as an individual and for a team
o Able to work across a range of administrative areas simultaneously, including financial administration, date entry and events planning

Desirable

o Experience of working in a customer care environment
o Experience of reviewing and developing administrative processes and procedures
o Up to date on latest Education, Learning & Development research, trends and practice enabling best practice, evidence based wherever possible with regard to L&D initiatives, and process, thus enabling a high standard of service to be delivered
o Able to use Oracle or equivalent financial system
