Job Title - Education Programme Manager
Location - Oxford

Brook Street is currently looking to recruit a Education Programme Manager

This is a temp role based in Oxford for 6 months.

£14.33 per hour raising to £16.52 following 12 weeks worked

Job Description / Responsibilities:

The Education Programme Manager works with the Education Programme Team Manager and manages the Education Programme Officers in the Education Support Function to manage the operational delivery of medical and dental education programmes. The Education Programme Manager is responsible for a directly managed programmes portfolio including medical, dental and non-medical education and training and development programmes for the health workforce populations in primary and secondary care throughout the region or sub-region.


Responsibilities include management of designated portfolios and teams including national recruitment, programme management, finance, project management and to implement successful delivery of assessments, revalidation, trainee rotations, OOP, IDT, LTFT throughout a trainee's journey. They will apply and implement locally defined processes within national frameworks, policies and guidance.


Whilst managing their own designated portfolio the individual will also lead on a specific area for the whole of the business for example Out of Programme trainees, information management or the integrated clinical/academic programme.

This role is responsible for developing, managing and maintaining performance management data and monitoring information; and to provide reports as required to support HEE priorities and deliverables.
The post holder will develop and maintain constructive working relationships with a number of key internal and external stakeholders some of who are very senior members of staff.


Contribute to the development of local and national workforce development reforms liaising with external educators and leaders to draw up and implement plans for new and revised training programmes within a given portfolio
This role will in addition provide support to the Education Programme Team Manager and the Business Team Manager to ensure seamless delivery of the education support and business functions. This will include analysing data and collating reports and management information in conjunction with the Revalidation & Accreditation Team to ensure the safe delivery of trainee progression.


The post holder will work closely with Local Education Providers to improve systems and processes for gathering, providing and monitoring trainee data/information. This will include analysing the quality of data across specialties and the region and identifying improvements and innovative solutions including electronic information systems.
This role will be responsible for their own projects and work streams as directed by the Education Programme Team Manager and Education Business Team Manager ensuring that deadlines are met, planning and prioritising workloads.
This role will require the post holder to work on their own initiative, with little supervision, in a changing environment, assessing evidence and making decisions as appropriate for the grade.


The post holder will deputise for the Education Programme Team Manager and the Education Business Team Manager as required and as appropriate at national, regional and local events.
