Electronic Soldering Technician (PCB), Cardiff

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (37.5 hours weekly, 1-hour lunch)

Salary: £23,000 + 23 days Holiday Entitlement in addition to bank holidays.

Purpose of the Electronic Soldering Technician (PCB):

To complete soldering tasks on PCBs to enable engineers to repair and swap equipment to meet customers demand.

The main features of Electronic Soldering Technician (PCB):

• Carry out through hole, surface mount device (SMD) and re-work soldering.
• Complete component repairs such as motherboards and power supply units (PSUs).
• Complete a wide range of soldering tasks as well as occasional non-soldering jobs as they arise.
• Log work completed on the company's database.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Able to demonstrate high quality soldering skills within an appropriate industry and able to transfer the skills to solder the equipment in the repair centre
• Experience in rework of SMT PCBs
• Experience in SM PSU repair
• Qualification in soldering or qualified by experience
• Flexible and willing to work beyond usual business hours and especially in short notice situations

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• IPC 610 Class 3 standard qualification
• Knowledge of EPOS industry products and processes
