Job Description

Cambs & Beds Employment Service supports adults from 18 years with mild to moderate & enduring mental ill health including Autism and Asperger's to retain employment or find meaningful activity, voluntary or paid work.

You will begin as temporary worker with BS Social Care until being taken onto a permanent position with our client.

The Retain Regain position will include working with clients to retain their current employment or find an alternative. The role will include assisting with all aspects of retaining employment i.e. liaising with employers, attending disciplinary meetings, liaising with other professionals such as Occupational Health and GP's to facilitate a successful return to work.

The role will also include rapid job searching including job seeking preparation including identifying transferable skills and career aspirations, CV writing & covering letters, job applications both paper and digital, mock interviews, confidence building and managing anxieties in returning to work.


" Ideal applicants will be resilient, highly experienced in providing employment support, advice and guidance with knowledge and experience of supporting an adult mental health service user group.
" Ideal applicants will have experience of Triage, completing risk assessments and support plans.
" There is a short 2 weeks induction with expectation that successful applicants will take on a full caseload of 30-35 cases once induction is completed.
" Ideal applicants will be resilient and able to manage a remote induction (likely 2 days in Cambridge office for induction period) and remote working as all staff are working from home during the lockdown, with some time in the office as/when restrictions lift in accordance with our Covid Secure Site Risk Assessment with staggered start & exit times.


Applicants must have experience in supporting people looking for employment e.g. has previous working experience with DWP, Papworth Trust, SEETEC, REED, Shaw Trust or similar providers in Employment support, advice & guidance.

To register: you must be able to provide 2 satisfactory references, covering a minimum of 2 years.
Have at least one years experience in similar roles
Have a DBS on the update system on be willing to pay for one.
Must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.
