Job Description

A full time temporary role has become available within the Warrington area, in a government department.
hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday, office hours.
Pay: 10.38 per hour

Duration: Maternity cover

Duties:

" Co-ordinate, proof-read and disseminate joint bespoke monthly updates to all Hillsborough Families and complainants on behalf of the CPS, IOPC and Operation Resolve in line with individual family requirements.

" Accountable for drafting high quality briefings and research in advance of meetings, to support the Engagement Team Manager and Head of Engagement in developing and maintaining effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including the Hillsborough Families, CPS, Operation Resolve, Home Office, Metro Mayors and APPG (All Party Parliamentary Group).

" Act as a first point of contact for all communication (emails, phone calls, letters etc) into the stakeholder engagement function. Answer internal and external enquiries on behalf of the function, delegating/escalating when appropriate, or drafting responses and advice for the Stakeholder Engagement Manager (SEM)

" Act as a first point of contact for internal approaches/requests from individual IOPC investigators in relation to families, stakeholders, PRA complaints and conduct matters and perito.

" Participate in stakeholder engagement activities where required. This can include internal and external meetings, events and project work, professional discussions with colleagues/stakeholders, researching information. This includes working collaboratively with external organisations to plan events and meetings (including CPS-led forums/All Party Parliamentary Group for Hillsborough.)

" Deliver specific tasks as part of the co-ordination of Hillsborough stakeholder events (to include sourcing potential venues for the launch of the Hillsborough Final Report) presenting recommendations to the Stakeholder Engagement Manager and Head of Engagement. Participate in relevant engagement activity tasks, including the co-ordination of attendance at such events and attendance at planning meetings, accommodating stakeholder needs and requirements in line with engagement best practice.

Support the delivery of the Hillsborough Communications and Engagement Strategy, including:
" The provision of practical and logistical support for the Hillsborough Investigation Final Report procedures, including assisting the investigation in the co-ordination of the delivery of the Salmon process. Acting as a point of contact for the Salmon process, gathering any new information and/or issues arising and where necessary using sound judgement to advise relevant staff to ensure process is adhered to.

" Provide logistical support in the delivery of the outcomes of the complaints/conduct reports. This includes supporting the engagement approach with families and stakeholders including Appropriate Authorities, former police officers and complainants.
" Contributing to the legacy period of the investigation, participating in the Hillsborough 'lessons learned' programme of work using engagement experience.
" The return of family property will be a very difficult and emotional moment for many families often taking place in a face to face meeting. The advisors will be involved throughout this process, often culminating in a face to face meeting. Understanding and responding to the particular needs and sensitivities of each family by providing a bespoke service. Possess resilience and have strategies in place to deal with the impact of these stressful/pressured/challenging situations.

Essential requirements:
" Experience of using confidentiality and discretion dealing with people in challenging and sensitive situations. Confidence and ability to deal appropriately with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, both within and outside the IOPC.
