Job Description
Engineering Stores Operative
Salary - £25,000
Monday - Friday 14:00 - 22:00
Location - Hull
An exciting opportunity is available with a very prestige client of ours; the role is for an Engineering Stores Operative to join the team in Hull.
Main duties include:
Responsibility for booking in of orders
Sorting and distribution of products and equipment on a daily basis to each department as per specific requests
Precise and accurate administration of paperwork including checking orders against delivery notes and internal paperwork
Responsibility for reporting any anomalies to the Engineering Manager as soon as they are raised
Maintenance of stock taking records as and when required i.e. on a weekly or monthly basis
Responsibility for the efficient and effective process of stock rotation ensuring that there is no excess storage or wastage
Maintain the stores area to a high standard and in line with the Company Health and Safety regulations
Carry out regular and accurate meter readings including water, effluent, electricity and gas
Carry out C.O.D testing as and when required
Liaise with colleagues in other departments to ensure the throughput of all products in a timely and efficient manner
Contribute to KPIs in quality, health, safety and environment, yields and customer service
Highlight areas of improvement
Assume responsibility for the management of activities which ensure food safety, integrity, legality and quality
Ensure adherence to all standards and processes relating to CCP monitoring, glass, complaints, label verifications and other paperwork in your department
Understand relevant legislation, internal company policies and procedures, codes of practice, technical specifications, COSHH regulations and developments in H.A.C.C.P systems relevant to the department
Uphold good housekeeping and hygiene practices to ensure product safety, with particular attention to temperature control and general hygiene
Respect and honour the sentiment of the companies ethical policies and codes of conduct when interacting with colleagues
Experience required;
Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing and a general understanding of continuous improvement tools and techniques would be ideal.
