Job Description

We are working with a fantastic client who specialise in delivering homes, services, and innovation for some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands and providing support to vulnerable adults.

This client is a registered care and support charity, providing services to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across all age groups across the Midlands. They provide the very best service, and they would love your help in continuing that process.

The client is looking for a full-time Estate Services Operative to work across multiple homes providing a range of maintenance services. You will be based in Birmingham and you will NEED TO BE A DRIVER. As an Estate Services Operative you will be providing housing support across multiple houses in Birmingham. The role will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Working within a team and also lone-working.


This will include, but is not limited to:
" Gardening
" Cleaning
" Liaising with external agencies (maintenance team, cleaning team, etc)
" Speaking and dealing with customers of the client and helping them resolve any issues to the property
" To help maintain properties
" To assist with the maintenance of the property if any other jobs need doing (putting up fences, painting, wallpapering etc)

You will need to have a great attitude, be a hard worker, with a customer focussed approach, with a need to helping make a difference. You will need to understand the service users of the client, some of whom may be users of drugs and alcohol, those involved with anti-social behaviour, those with mental health issues and vulnerabilities, and anything under the umbrella of Social Housing. Other important qualities about you must be your empathy and your desire to help those in need. Your communication, teamwork, lone work, and commitment also must be a top quality.
