Executive Secretary / Personal Assistant
Type: Long-term temporary

Brook Street has been chosen as a recruitment partner to hire temporary admin and clerical workers for central government departments and the public sector across the UK. We're currently looking for an experienced, professional Executive Secretary / Personal Assistant for a governmental department in central London.
This is an ongoing, long-term temporary assignment, working full time hours and many of these opportunities offer a significant pay increase on completion of 12 weeks in the same department.
Providing high-level, diverse secretarial and administrative support to one or two key senior managers, your duties will include:
- Composing non-routine correspondence
- Compiling reports
- Transcribing dictation
- Typing documents, using word processor or spreadsheet software
- Receiving visitors
- Screening and directing manager's telephone calls
- Diary management
- Arranging meetings or travel
- Maintaining records or files

Typical qualifications and experience required:
- Stage III RSA certificate (or equivalent) in typing / word processing
- Preferably a member of IQPS
- Experience as an executive secretary / personal assistant
- An advanced level of computer literacy and wide knowledge of relevant software packages
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
