Job Description

Our Public Sector client based in Birmingham is currently looking for an Executive Officer to support their department. This will be Monday to Friday, usually 9.00am to 5.00pm however the successful candidate must have a degree of flexibility in line with the needs of the business. This will be an ongoing temporary assignment, paying £11.33 per hour and is fully remote.

This role will be to support their Corporate Services Team. The client's aim is to create a great place to work for civil servants, enabling them to deliver excellent public services, and to feel valued for the brilliant work they do on behalf of the public. The role is key to ensuring that their staff have the equipment, knowledge and support to meet the organisation's objectives.

This role is a high profile hands on position, where you will be working with their service providers and staff at all levels, to provide high quality operational delivery of corporate and office support functions.

You must have excellent organisational, communication and influencing skills to support the wider organisation in its delivery. You will help to ensure that processes are communicated, understood and followed and that equipment and support is provided to staff across several business functions. You will need to establish and develop effective working relationships with a number of stakeholders, including the service delivery partners and staff at all levels.

You will be the main point of contact for the Birmingham office and will also be required to ensure access to meeting room calendars is given/removed as required.

Part of your responsibilities will be the collation of information for building passes for all GPA employees. Highlighting where clearances are due to expire to obtain a renewal where necessary. You will also be required to update their distribution lists to reflect starters, movers and leavers. Keeping the online staff directory, People Finder, up-to-date and enhancing the existing information. You will also need to organise IT kit for new starters and leavers escalating complex cases where necessary.

General administration support will include organising meetings, booking appropriate rooms, preparing meeting papers, minute-taking and general support as required. Opening, scanning, logging and distribution of incoming and outgoing post. Assisting with writing and formatting Corporate Services job aides and process documents.
