Investment Officer (Programmes)
Location: Loughborough (Hybrid - 1 day in the office; flexible homeworking)

If you're organised, customer-focused and thrive on making processes work better for people, this is a brilliant opportunity to support the grant lifecycle for Sport England's Open Investment Programme. You'll help ensure applications are handled well, governance runs smoothly, and the programme learns from insight and impact evidence.

What you'll be doing:
* Coordinate programme operations across the full grant lifecycle, helping applications progress efficiently
* Maintain accurate grant records, programme data and management information to support decision-making and reporting
* Carry out initial due diligence and programme administration in line with programme policies and governance requirements
* Support governance by coordinating peer review/decision-making processes, preparing documentation and keeping a complete audit trail
* Communicate clearly with applicants and grant recipients throughout the process
* Organise programme and team meetings, maintaining records and actions
* Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting process/system and ways-of-working enhancements
* Help collect and analyse customer insight (including user experience feedback) to inform improvements and impact evaluation
* Produce and maintain programme performance information, supporting KPIs and operational decisions
* Build positive relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders, helping maintain an inclusive, collaborative culture
* Follow organisational policies and governance requirements to keep quality and professionalism high

What you'll bring:
* Strong organisational skills, with the confidence to manage competing priorities and deliver accurately to timescales
* Excellent attention to detail, with a track record of maintaining accurate records
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to build relationships with a range of stakeholders
* Confident digital skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to use data to support delivery
* A customer-focused approach, using feedback and insight to improve how services work
* Strong teamwork skills, contributing to shared objectives

Additional information:
* Pay: £13.75 per hour | Mon-Fri, 36 hours per week (7.2-hour days)
* Assignment: 23/08/2027 (no extension indicated)
* Training provided (please note: no holidays in the first 2 weeks of training)
* Clearance: basic DBS (cost covered by the hiring process)
