Job Description

Brook Street is the chosen recruitment partner to Public Sector employers throughout the UK.
We have a 5-month temporary position for a Customer Support Adviser in the Cardiff area on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday).
The purpose of the role is to take inbound calls from people who are raising concerns or complaints and progress their concerns to the next step. The position carries no decision-making responsibility and the purpose is to capture as much information as possible and signpost the next steps.

The start date of this role is 3rd March, so you must be able to start on this date.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
" Strong administrative skills
" Excellent communication skills, especially over the phone
" A flexible and adaptable approach, as duties may vary
" An interest in employment law and/or HR (highly desirable)

In this role you will:
" Be first point of contact for customers seeking advice, via both inbound and outbound phone calls
" Be responsible for providing accurate information and excellent advice in a timely manner
" Accurately record case notes and conversations

Full training is provided.

The successful candidate will be working in a secure environment which requires a high level of background and clearance checks. This will include Criminal Record Checks (DBS Checks), Reference Checks (Employment, Education and any gaps) (3 years), Address checks (5 years) and may involve us obtaining character references and/or other evidence to cover periods of unemployment.

Once the successful candidate has been offered the role, these checks will commence. These normally take anything from 7 days to 28 days, depending on how quickly we can obtain this information for clearance.
