Join Our Client's Team as an Executive Officer - Debt Recovery
Location: Cheylesmore House, Coventry, CV1 2WT
Hourly Rate: £16.37 per hour
Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 37 hours per week, flexible between 8am and 6pm (60% in-office, 40% remote)
Duration: Immediate start until 31/12/2026, with potential extension based on performance and client needs
Our client, a reputable organisation within the public sector, is seeking a dedicated Executive Officer to join their Accounts Receivable team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience working within government finance, focusing on debt recovery and customer service excellence.
What you'll be doing:
* Reducing aged debt through effective credit control processes
* Regularly reviewing accounts and evidencing debt recovery efforts within finance systems
* Supporting and implementing repayment plans for customers in default, adjusting arrangements as needed
* Building strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers to resolve debt issues efficiently
* Handling complex queries with professionalism and high customer service standards
* Raising invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly
* Contributing to continuous service improvement and automation opportunities
* Attending team and divisional meetings to stay aligned with priorities
What you'll bring:
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to handle complex queries with empathy and professionalism
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
* Experience in credit control or debt recovery is desirable but not essential

* Training provided, including a comprehensive induction plan
* Clearance level: BPSS (Basic DBS) - application will be made on your behalf
* Candidates with recent overseas residence may need to provide an additional police check
