We have an exciting new role that has opened up within a government department as a Crown Court clerk for court at Bedford and Luton, to manage the courtrooms to ensure that cases are dealt with promptly in liaison with judiciary, legal profession and staff and to ensure that all subsequent results are accurately & promptly recorded in line with targets. Also, to ensure that all ancillary duties are carried out effectively such as:
o Preparing routine correspondence and checking that of others.
o compiling, verifying and reporting data
o completing forms or reports
o managing the workload of a small team, if required
o liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Typical qualifications and experience: five GCSE passes at Grade C or above plus 2 'A' level passes at grade
E or above or equivalent, or NVQ Management Level 3 or 4, or suitable junior management experience.
Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
