We`re seeking skilled administrators with team management experience that would like to extend their skills to benefit the UK Government. As a chosen recruitment partner to central government and the public sector, Brook Street is seeking temporary admin and clerical workers in this area, giving you the opportunity to gain credible experience in the public sector.
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a local government department for a Correspondence Drafter in (Westminster). This is an ongoing, long-term temporary assignment, working 37 hours per week and many of these opportunities offer a significant pay increase on completion of 12 weeks in the same department.

Requirements for this vacancy include;
" Strong IT skills are essential. The drafting position requires someone to be confident with, Word as they will have to meet strict formatting guidelines. They will also need to be able to use online databases and Sharepoint to find information, upload files etc.
" The whole job is based around deadlines which sometimes occasionally will require a response urgently. The person should be able to demonstrate that they can work quickly and meet deadlines, but the work still needs to be of a high quality.
" Strong candidates will be able to communicate confidently with people in different areas - we use email, messaging systems and sometimes meet with colleagues from other areas too.
" Administrative experience of some sort is ideal, but this doesn`t have to have been within government. Successful candidates will have experience with creating documents or have worked with a strong attention to detail.
Standard benefits of working for central government / wider public sector:
" Pay increase after 12 continuous weeks in the majority of departments
" Potential for long-term or multiple temp assignments once you hold security clearance
" Minimum of 35 days holiday (pro rata) following 12 consecutive weeks in the same department
" Access to a Workplace Pension
