Job Description

Leicestershire Police are recruiting for a Team Analyst in the Child Sexual Exploitation Unit based at Wigston Police Station.

The purpose of this role is to provide relevant and accurate information and analysis, including the production of evidential and performance analytical products, which will inform and influence decisions allowing the effective deployment of operational resources.

Essential Criteria:
To be educated to 'A' level standard or equivalent in a relevant subject or to be able to demonstrate ability to work to an equivalent level by example.

Demonstrate experience in an analytical environment where it has been necessary to undertake data analysis or research work.

Demonstrate experience of preparing and producing complex written reports for senior managers.

Demonstrate an ability to communicate confidently at all levels both verbally and in writing.

Demonstrate an ability to prioritise own workload and make multi-factor decisions to meet aims & objectives.

To be able to demonstrate skills in proactive and creative research and analytical techniques.

Desirable Criteria:
To be educated to degree standard or equivalent in a subject involving research, analysis of data or statistics.

To have successfully completed an NPIA Analyst Foundation Module course or equivalent.

To have previous knowledge of databases such as CATs, NICHE, Genie, Insight, WEBSTORM, PND, PNC and Custody.

Demonstrate experience of working in a confidential and sensitive environment.

To have knowledge of relevant legislation (i.e. ECHR, RIPA, Data Protection).

To demonstrate an understanding of:
The National Intelligence Model (NIM)
The Criminal Justice System
DNA Principles:
