Job Description

Brook Street (UK) Limited is recruiting an Internal Sales / Commercial Administrator for our shipping client located in Belfast. The role would require the successful candidate to work in the commercial department of the business.

Duties will include:-

The successful candidate will provide back-up support to the Sales Manager and other Sales personnel in processing quotations to both new and existing customers.
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers and suppliers via telephone calls and emails.
Action incoming sales leads and quotation requests.
Follow up on any sales quotations submitted.
Contact and develop new business with exporting companies of FCL / LCL shipments.

Essential Requirements

Strong communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
The individual is required to have strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
Able to work both in a team and perform independently.
Good numerical skills would be an advantage.
Fully PC Literate
Smart appearance
Freight experience would be beneficial

The ideal candidate should ideally have liner, or freight forwarding internal pricing/sales experience; or alternatively have operational experience with a desire to enter a commercial / internal pricing role.

The client will however also consider applications from people who don`t have any experience but may wish to pursue a career in this field and can offer other skills to suit the job,
