Job Description

The Technician will work to ensure all facilities, grounds and tennis court surfaces are maintained and presented to the highest level. The role supports the Operations management team in maintaining the as a unique and innovative tennis experience, by creating a centre of excellence and a showcase for our sport.

Key Accountabilities
Planned preventative/re-active maintenance
" Implement the planned preventative maintenance programme, being able to understand and carry out duties in accordance with these systems
" Successfully resolve all reactive maintenance tasks

Grounds
" Maintain and service the grounds to an exceptional level
" Deliver to brand standard across all aspects of the landscape and appearance of the centre
" Act as a first point of contact for core grounds contractor tasks
" Provide effective management of equipment, ensuring it is correctly stored, maintained and serviced.

Court surfaces
" Prepare and maintain the clay, grass and indoor/outdoor acrylic hard court surfaces to a world class standard, across all centre opening operational hours, inclusive of weekdays, evenings and weekends
" Undertake daily routines for the upkeep and maintenance of all courts, to ensure world class surfaces.
" Undertake a regime of treatment for all clay and grass surfaces, to ensure it is presented and maintained to the highest quality
" Ensure all irrigation systems are functional for daily operation
" Act as an operational point of contact for all questions relating to court surfaces

Inspections and H&S Management
" Support the Head Groundsman to ensure all statutory inspections are completed at appropriate times
" Provide oversight and where necessary day to day management of any third party maintenance contractors, ensuring due diligence and relevant H&S procedures are always adhered to.
" Understand and implement relevant H&S regulations, with a thorough understanding of legislation relating to chemicals and dangerous substances, whilst promoting safe working practises at all times.

General
" Work with and support others in the team to ensure that the team's services complement all strands of the Operations service.
" Provide support for major events as and when necessary
" Work with third party service providers, ensuring best practise and safety compliance at all times.
" Follow agreed SOP's and processes to ensure control requirements are met

Duty Management
" Support the 'Duty Management' service to Colleagues and Visitors, ensuring day to day issues are dealt with, including carrying out daily walk-rounds and recording checklists.
" Work shifts as required and as part of a team, to include early mornings, evenings and weekends, across a seven day operation.
