Our Public Sector client based in Birmingham City Centre is currently looking for a Facilities Operations Assistant to support their Group Property and Corporate Strategy Business Unit. This will be Monday to Friday, usually 9.00am to 5.30pm however the successful candidate must have a degree of flexibility in line with the needs of the business. This will an ongoing temporary assignment, paying £12.90 per hour.
The successful candidate will be focusing on managing the client's buildings and workplaces and will assist in the provision of services on their premises, making sure that they comply with Health and Safety legislation, thereby ensuring a safe working environment.
You'll be working as part of the facilities management team providing core support services including provision of postal and reception services, meeting room bookings, stock maintenance and purchase of office supplies / stationery. You will also act as an initial point of contact, communicating and filtering information for the team in a timely and accurate manner. You will need to provide administrative support and ensure service information is up to date and readily accessible to facilitate the departmental work flow.
Ultimately you should be a flexible and highly motivated individual and be able to provide a high-quality support service and building facilities service, to stakeholders and wider staff members.
This role will require a DBS check, initially funded by yourself but fully refunded within 6-8 weeks on assignment.
