A dynamic and growing engineering solutions business in Croydon seeks an enthusiastic and experienced Factory Production Supervisor.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
" Supervising and organising all production staff within the factory
" Ensuring all production staff are logged onto the correct operation on work cards
" Attending daily production meetings
" Liaising with the stores in organising and controlling sub-contracted work
" To organise and manage factory staff annual leave and sickness, including return to work interviews and if necessary informal warnings
" To resolve any factory staff queries
" To liaise with the management team regarding any factory staff HR queries
" To allocate work to factory staff and deal with any queries with regards to the jobs, ensuring all jobs are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
" To be the main person for all Factory health and safety
" To liaise between the sales team and the factory staff to ensure that each job is communicated efficiently, and the Company works as a team.
" To investigate when issues arise and to improve the efficiency of the work flow through the factory
" To maintain a safe, clean and tidy factory workshop at all times
" To have a hands-on approach to tasks and to have a presence on the factory floor 90% of the time
" Reports to the General Manager
" Be expected to carry out any tasks set by management in a timely manner or the given time frame
" Basic production work
The Successful Candidate will:
" Have experience and knowledge and have an engineering background
" Be able to drive a forklift
" Be friendly and accommodating
" Be able to work on their own incentive.
" Have a level of competency in engineering
" Have experience and knowledge for in supervising 10+ employees
" Be computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office and if possible, Factory Master
" Be confident, organised and methodical
" Be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to motivate others
" Be able to problem solve and come up with solutions
" Be able to communicate to managers, staff and clients in a professional and firm manner
For this position we offer a wage of £13 - £14 per hour depending on experience.

39 hrs + Overtime when needed
Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm
Fri - 8am - 1pm
20 days holiday per year going up 1 day for every year served up to a maximum of 25 days
