ABOUT THE CLIENT
At present we are working closely with a family assessment service, that provide 24 hour assessments on families who have been identified as having complex needs. The service delivers 24 hour observations within the unit as well as in the community, to record and monitor all interactions between parent and child. Due to the range of complex needs that the families may present, experience working with vulnerable adults as well as children is desirable.

Their work is aimed at strengthening bonds and breaking harmful, and potentially damaging patterns and behaviours, through one to one work, group work and therapeutic intervention."


ABOUT THE JOB
I want you if you are :

" Passionate about working with Children, Young People and Families.
" Ideally hold a recognised level 3 (minimum) social care qualification
" Promoting healthy parenting relationships
" Confident in contributing to, and implementing plans
" Experienced in undertaking and remaining accountable for observations and practice.
" Competent in recording and maintaining records to a high standard and in line with GDPR.
" Able to prioritise safeguarding and skilled in identifying and responding to levels of risk
" Confident in your ability to respond to crisis situations.
" Knowledgeable about relevant theoretical concepts and practices such as child development and attachment.
" Committed to keeping up to date and working in line with relevant social care policies, procedures and the core values of our client.
" Able to work positively independently and in a team.

About the role

You will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of comprehensive and fair support whilst making assessments of children, young people and families. This role will involve holding primary responsibility for the monitoring and support of family's daily activities. It will include completing daily checks, escorting families out of the unit to appointments, attending handover, facilitating groups, administering medication, maintaining case records, supervising contact, working alongside child care staff to arrange child care, completing weekly schedules, care task observations, and attending and contributing to meetings as necessary.
