Family Engagement Worker

Newport

Full time - 37.5 hours a week

£11.25 ph + Holiday pay and pension contribution

We are currently recruiting for a full time family engagement worker for a national charity. This role is a fixed term contract for a few months.

Your role will be to work across Newport and engage with families to access appropriate programmes. To help local families build their strengths and address any needs they may have. You work towards empowering and enabling families to set goals for the future and identify the services/support they need to reach their goals and overcome any potential barriers. You will be expected to take the lead in delivering programmes and activities that directly target parenting and family support.

Due to the nature of this role previous experience in working with vulnerable families is essential. Completion of a parenting programme is desirable.
Experience in delivering group programmes, providing direct support to clients, experience of undertaking risk assessments and risk management are also essential for the role.
