Job Description

I am very excited to be recruiting for my growing client based in Coventry. The company has continued to grow year on year and are looking for YOU to join their team!
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious Solicitor / Legal Executive to join their Family, Private Department. The role has come about due to growth in the last 12 months.

I am looking for a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE within a Family Department with a thorough knowledge of family law and privately funded cases, particularly divorce finances and children work

The successful candidate will undertake a caseload of privately funded work, with a strong emphasis on Children matters. You will work closely with the Head of Department and other team members. You will need excellent management, communication and organisational skills, proficiency in IT, and have a polite and patient manner.

The ideal candidate`s key responsibilities will be:
"To manage a caseload of private family matters including; Diverse, Financial Settlements, Private Children Applications and Cohabite Disputes
"Attend to clients in the office
"Maintain files and preparation of full attendance notes
"Time recording and preparation of bills
"Advocacy and attendance at Court as required
"Undertake work and networking necessary to build up, maintain and manage a case load of predominantly private matters, with some legal aid work as well
"Achievement of WIP, billing and cash targets
"Management of support staff, to include performance management
"Undertake any reasonable instructions made by Directors, Heads of Department or Fee Earners within the limits of this employment description
"Attend Fee Earner and departmental meetings
"Undertake file reviews in relation to other Fee Earners as required
"All work to be carried out under supervision of Head of Department
