** £18,200 / £10 per hour **
** Average of 35 hours per week working 4 days per week on a 3 week rolling rota **

BS Social Care are looking for two Family Support Workers based in the Bedford area of Bedfordshire, to work a permanent and full time role supporting new parents with their babies within a residential setting to monitor and observe the parents and their care that they give to their child to be able to give professional reports that will be made available to Social Workers

About the employer; this employer provides support to mothers and babies within a residential setting providing accurate parenting assessments, risk managed, in a therapeutic setting where complex social, emotional and educational needs are met by attachment aware, qualified practitioners.

About the job; within this role, you will help and support positive parenting and making changes. You will support the parents within all aspects of parenting within their 12 week stay supporting with activities such as bathing, breastfeeding, nutrition and other similar activities. Help with the day to day running of the residential home and supporting the parents in court when needed.

About the ideal candidate; you will ideally hold a NVQ Level 3 within Childcare or Health & Social Care (or similar), a driving licence along side access to your own car including business insurance to be able to accompany parents to appointments, have experience with newborns to 5 year olds and/or experience with families.

Experience within court is a desirable.

For this full time and permanent role, we will offer you a salary of £18,200 alongside benefits which will be discussed further. Relevant training and support will be provided from starting to progression in your role.
