Job Description

We have an exciting new permanent opportunity for a Female Senior Practitioner to work across accommodation services for women and children across Lancashire.

As a Senior Practioner you will provide expert knowledge and mentoring and mentoring to the Refuge teams, delivering high quality support to adults and child survivors of domestic abuse. You will be responsive to the needs of the services providing timely advice to teams across all of our refuges responding to issues arising involving Safeguarding, Risk Management and out of hours emergency cover. This role forms part of the organisation`s management teams across refuge provisions supporting the Deputy manager and Service managers to deliver excellent services.

To be successful in this role you will need to have the ability to assess new referrals in a fair and clear way using an inclusive approach, ensure the health and well being of residents and children are prioritised, deliver high quality support, achieving key outcomes as identified in the support planning. You will be a very organised individual with strong leadership and team-playing skills, together with the ability to be self motivated and be able to motivate others. A key function is to be able to train and develop new staff and volunteers, and mentor them to help become more confident. You will be able to empower others and work collaboratively across teams.

Competitive salary of £24,813 pro- rata over average 25 hours per week, working on a rota including evening and weekend shifts. This role will be based in the Burnley site but expectations will be to be flexible to travel across all provisions within Lancashire where necessary. Car driver essential.
