I am recruiting for a support worker who has background experience working with challenging behaviour, autism and learning disabilities. You will be based in a care home that currently supports two young ladies. Down to the nature of this home, we are only allowed to accept female applicants due to the sensitivity of this role, which falls under to equality act 2010 code of practice.

You will be providing personal care to the females and ensuring their daily needs are met, and promoting Independence. You will also be expected to complete risk assessments and read through care plans to ensure nothing is missed within the care for the ladies.

The ideal candidate must have at least 1 years experience within the care sector, or 6 months experience with a level 2/3 Health and Social Care qualification. It is also desired that you have a DBS on the update service and are a car driver with access to your own vehicle. Ideally you will have MAPPA training but this is not essential.

Your pay rate will be £8.45 p/h with holiday pay to accrue. The role is based in Castleford and the shifts will be based on a ad-hoc basis.
