Job Description

My client is looking for an ambitious, driven individual to join their Sales team. They are a leading supplier and developer of factory automation equipment ranging from sensors and lasers to bar code readers, etc. They not only provide superior technology, but also ongoing support to their customers.

THE ROLE
You will be working in the central Birmingham office, in a sales environment making calls and building relationships with customers. You will be in the office 2 days a week and out visiting customers and promoting the client's products 3 days a week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Direct Sales position to which you will be delegated your own territory
• Weekly Structure: 2 Office Days, 3 Field Days
• Your role will be to find and follow up on business leads and schedule new business opportunities
• You will be meeting and demonstrating the client's products to technicians, engineers, managers and directors in order to sell effective solutions
• To be a key contributor to their dynamic, close knit sales team
• To be able to work in a fast-paced environment where no two weeks are the same

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• A hunger to succeed and over-achieve
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• Must have a full driving licence, valid in the UK
• Proven leadership skills are ideal
• Professional attitude - you will be meeting with clients so need to represent the brand in a professional manner
• Willing to learn - the role will require the capacity to learn and understand technical concepts within the factory automation industry, and the client's products

SALARY AND WORKING HOURS

Hours TBC

Starting Salary - £28K
