Job Description

Have you ever wanted to work for the civil service? Do you have strong attention to detail and a financial background? If so, then please read on as we are looking for a Finance Administrator to join our client the Department of Health and Social Care

Job Role: Finance Administrator

Location: Wellington Place Leeds, LS1 4AP

Hours: Full time, 37 Hours per week, Monday - Friday

Pay: £15.41 per hour

This is an ongoing temporary position with the possibility of a further extension at the discretion of the business requirements

The Role:

The Temporary Worker will provide middle management support and operate with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment in completing assignments.

Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:

- Preparing high-level correspondence and checking that produced by others

- Interpreting and reporting complex data

- Resolving problems or responding to complex enquiries

- Managing the workload of a team or section

- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders at senior level building and maintaining relationships

Typical qualifications and experience:

- Five GCSE passes at Grade C or above

- Two A level passes at grade E or above or equivalent

- NVQ Management Level 3 or 4 (or suitable management experience)

- Good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office

- Management experience in an office environment

- Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Experience/Skills required:

  • Financial background
  • Raising PO's
  • Dealing with invoices
  • Good at dealing with numbers
  • High level of Literacy and English Language skills
  • Excellent listening and presentation skills and attention to detail
  • Experience of MS Office, Outlook and Word
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative, and prioritise with good time management skill
