I am working with an educational college who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their friendly team on a temporary basis. The Finance Assistant will sit in a shared office and be part of the administration team based at the college. Experience of using Oracle Financials (or undertaking training on Oracle Financials and any other relevant software) is essential for this role. Your role will deal with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger work.

Your duties will include;

*Purchasing- raising requisitions, receipting goods/services and checking invoices against purchase orders using Oracle Financials

*Running transaction reports from Oracle and producing reports of actual spend compared to budget for core funded events and operational budgets (general ledger accounts)

*Producing reports and basic analysis of AR transactions on weekly/monthly basis

*Requesting set-up of customer accounts in the Oracle Financials system

*Preparing financial reports using excel spreadsheets on a weekly/monthly basis, including identification and clarification of any transactions not originated in the Finance Office

*Responding to general financial queries, providing advice and support on financial procedures and policies


Part-time, 22 hours per week.

Pay rate is £12.81 per hour.
