Fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company in Rugby as a Finance Assistant! You must have previous experience within finance or accounting.

Monday to Friday (Office based) 08:00 - 16:30 or 09:00 - 17:30
£28,000 - £29,000 DOE
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Main Duties;
o Sales ledger review and invoicing
o Purchase ledger accounting ensuring invoices are input with timely processing for payment
o Processing staff job costing sheets for invoicing
o Regular review of debtors and chasing of outstanding debt.
o Sales and Purchase monthly intercompany reconciliations
o Monthly cashbook postings and reconciliations
o Monthly general ledger journals, accruals, prepayments
o Monthly update of Fixed asset additions, disposals and depreciation with reconciliations to fixed asset register and verification of fixed assets
o Assistance with balance sheet reconciliations
o Producing weekly cashflow reports for management review
o Review and processing of expenses and reconcile any discrepancies or errors
o Assist the Finance Manager in creating financial reports on a regular basis
o Answer questions and provide advice to stakeholders, customers, and clients
o Attend finance department and company-wide meetings
o Assist with the quarterly VAT returns
o Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports
o Review on monthly accounts and continual suggestion of improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.
o Assist in periodical stock take

Person Specification;
o Must have previous experience within finance or accountancy
o Strong IT skills including SAP/Oracle
o Attention to detail
o Excellent mathematical skills
o Problem solving skills
o Communication skills
