This is a unique opportunity to join the Finance Directorate of this pensions company after a major restructure.
You must be a fully qualified accountant with experience in a Financial Business partner role with a Pension or Investment company.
After a major restructure the "new" FBPs will have a different role in terms of the support they give to their business units. You will work at a higher level, be more strategic and provide relevant analysis and actionable insights on data. When presenting monthly cost reports, you will have already reviewed the numbers, updated where relevant and added the narrative explaining variances to budgets etc.
The focus to date was very much on the "finance" part of finance business partner - this new role will focus on the "business partner" part sitting with teams almost as if you are part of them and know everything that is going on within those areas.
You will be the key contact for everything finance related whether it relates to costs and budgets for your area and any projects where finance SME knowledge is needed. The more "transactional" work that the finance business partners currently do such as producing the numbers for the monthly reports or posting accrual journals will be done by another role to enable you to perform this more strategic role.
