Finance Manager, Trafford Park, Manchester

Our Technical client are looking for an assured, experienced Finance Manager to play a key part in the continued growth of the business.

You will need to be resourceful, proactive and take the initiative to anticipate the evolving needs of the company. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who is able to consistently work to an extremely high level of quality and focus.
This is a pivotal role within the structure of the business. The responsibilities of the post holder and the essential/desirable skills and qualifications include:

Responsibilities:
" Day to day management of Finance & Administration Office
" Accounting processes, i.e. accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, credit control etc.
" Production of monthly management information for presentation to directors, including detailed sales & profitability report on an individual project basis
" Management of project files including sales, costs and associated information
" Management of staged payment invoicing and credit control
" Responsibility for quarterly VAT reporting
" Production of weekly and monthly payrolls and associated reporting
" Management of company pensions, ensuring regulations are adhered to etc.
" Cashflow forecasting and reporting
" Preparation of year end accounts including balance sheet reconciliations
" Preparation of budgets and forecasts
" Liaising with external accountants and auditors, when required
" Continually review financial processes and procedures to protect company assets and minimise financial risk
" Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation

Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
" AAT (or equivalent)
" Substantial IT experience:
o Advance Microsoft Excel skills - essential
o Finance related software experience - essential
" Ability to demonstrate previous experience relevant to the responsibilities of this role
" High customer service ethos (internal & external)
" Clear and concise communication skills
" Professional "can-do" attitude with the ability to work independently and/or within a team
" Proven leadership skills
" Self-confident, proactive and comfortable with taking initiative
" Ability to work under pressure and to respond productively to feedback
" Ability to anticipate the needs of the company

Desirable:
" Experience of a similar role in a technical / industrial industry
Hours of employment:
This role is office based, 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday
Salary upto £37,000 depending on experience
