NHS England - Band 5 - Finance Officer
Location: Quarry House, Quarry hill, Leeds, LS2 7UE
Salary: £10.83 per hour increasing to £12.38 per hour after 12 weeks
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am -5pm


This is a full time temporary post for a minimum of three months.

The post holder will be part of a dynamic team delivering an effective service, supporting staff across NHS England.


In particular the post holder will:

" Provide high quality project, service, initiative and administrative support including information and analysis.
" Undertake reporting and analysis to support delivery
" Assist in the review of Directorate forecast positions, highlighting areas which require challenge
" Act as the finance lead for individual cost centres within a Directorate, preparing monthly reports and attending budget holder meetings
" Act as the key finance contact for cost centres within a Directorate, assisting with queries and issue resolution
" Provide basic finance training to Directorate staff who undertake finance tasks
" Be a key member of the team whose overarching goal is to enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives.


Experience required:
" We are looking for someone who is studying a finance qualification
" You must have prior experience in a management accounts role
" You should be abler to prepare and present budgets
