Brook Street (UK) Ltd have been contacted by our client to source a Finance Officer for a temporary role until December 2020.
Based in Newry, the Finance Officer will be charged with assisting with daily and annual accounting deadlines, working with a particular department to ensure that their finances are in order, reporting to the Management of the Finance team, and monitoring financial compliance.
Candidates must have a minimum of a Level V qualification in an Accounting, a Business, or a Finance discipline in addition to GCSE English at grade A-C or an Essential / Key Skill Level II in Communication. Candidates must also have a GCSE in Maths at grade A-C or an Essential / Key Skill Level II in Application of Number.
Candidates must also have a minimum of two years experience within a Procurement / Purchasing role within the Public Sector covering at least 3 of the following areas
Monitoring compliance with the approved tender processes
Providing support to an evaluation panel
Providing support and guidance with procurement issues to staff to help ensure adherence to policies and procedures and best value
Maintenance of a register of contracts to ensure contracts are renewed / reviewed on a timely basis.
The successful candidate will need a full driving licence and have access to a car for business. Candidates for this role must also have a minimum of two years experience of using integrated finance systems.
This role is paid at £24,799 per annum for a 36-hour week.
